Summary - The paper aims at describing the activities developed within the project ASTONRAIL (Advanced approaches and practices for rail training and education to innovate rail study programmes & improve rail higher education provision), funded by ERASMUS+ Programme. The project target is to provide a portfolio of new rail skills development strategies, approaches and professional practices in order to strengthen and modernize Europe’s current rail higher education system.
