The importance of HMI interfacing in business processes – The RFI Application Case: a new way of testing the On-Board Subsystem ERTMS

Summary - The Driver Interface System (DIS) is an automatic robotic system developed by RFI with the goal of automating the execution of test sequences aimed at demonstrating the compliance of ERTMS On-Board Subsystems (SSB) with the Technical Specifications for Interoperability (TSI) issued by the European Union Agency for Railways (EUAR). The system relies on an accurate formalization of the tests in the Subset 076 [1] and represents an important step forward in this technological field because of the efficiency and reduction of test times on ERTMS Interoperability Components.
