The present paper describes the development
and the evolution of the systems supplying power to
the railway technological installations with a specific regard
to the in-tunnel emergency plants (fig.1) and the relevant
new regulations. The analyses and the consequent
design choices applied to the High Speed Lines in operation
and in future construction are here illustrated.
